Webinars On Demand: Blind Fasteners for Easy, Reliable HSS Connections – What to Look For (HSS Summit 2025)
$0.00
Description
For decades, blind fasteners have provided a fast, reliable, and cost-effective alternative to welding or through-bolting for making structural connections to HSS, without the problems and dangers associated with those traditional methods. They eliminate the need for hot work permits, specialized labor, and double-sided access, making installation safer and more efficient. This presentation covers different types of blind fasteners available, exploring the pros and cons of each technology, and demonstrate how some manufacturers have even achieved ICC approvals for the most challenging high-seismic installations. Attendees will learn how these solutions streamline construction, reduce costs, and deliver strong, code-compliant connections for modern steel projects.
Learning Objectives:
- Understand the advantages of blind fasteners as a fast, reliable, and cost-effective alternative to welding and through-bolting for HSS connections.
- Identify the different types of blind fasteners available on the market and compare the pros and cons of each technology.
- Recognize safety, cost, and installation benefits of blind fasteners, including how they reduce risks associated with hot work and difficult access conditions.
- Learn about performance standards and approvals, including seismic approvals achieved by some manufacturers for demanding structural applications.
