Webinar On Demand: WF Beam to HSS Column Axial and Moment Connection Examples (August 2023)
$0.00 – $35.00
Description
Using wide flange beams and HSS columns can lead to a very effective framing system. In this presentation, we will focus on the joint between a wide flange beam and an HSS column. There are many situations where the connection of the WF beam to the HSS column requires the transfer of beam axial load and/or moment, but limited guidance exists for this topic.
Learning Objectives
Attendees will gain practical knowledge of:
- The types of axial and moment connections as well as their economic considerations
- Common shear connection design to HSS columns incorporating axial loading
- Considerations for flange-plated moment connections to HSS
- Multiple design examples and additional resources
