The Steel Tube Institute’s 2026 HSS Summit brings together fabricators, service centers, and engineers for a focused, high-impact industry experience. Through expert-led sessions and collaborative roundtable discussions, attendees will explore the latest opportunities, challenges, and innovations in Hollow Structural Sections (HSS).

This exclusive 2.5-day summit, with mill tours on November 10, followed by 1.5 days of focused sessions and discussions on November 11–12, will bring together 150 key decision-makers and technical leaders across the construction industry, creating a collaborative environment to share insights, strengthen partnerships, and advance best practices in HSS design, fabrication, and application.

Across 1.5 days on November 11–12, dive into focused sessions and discussions designed to keep you informed, connected, and ahead of industry trends.
- Continuing Education: Sessions in development include HSS in data centers, NASA Mobile Launcher 2 case study, AI in the HSS industry, Steel Market Outlook and Design Guide 24 updates. Eligible for PDH credits.
- Collaborative Sessions: The returning HSS Detail-Off and other interactive formats put engineers, fabricators, service centers, and mills in direct conversation — a defining feature of the Summit and a format rare among industry conferences.
Reception & Dinner
Build connections beyond the sessions at the reception and dinner on November 11 at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center, a Smithsonian Affiliate. This dedicated evening brings attendees together in an unforgettable setting designed for conversation and relationship-building.
Cocktail Reception: Gather in the Main Exhibit Area, where historic space capsules, interactive exhibits, and spaceflight simulators create a one-of-a-kind atmosphere. Explore hands-on displays while networking among iconic artifacts of American spaceflight.
Dinner: Continue the evening in Saturn V Hall, dining beneath an authentic Saturn V Apollo moon rocket — a National Historic Landmark and one of only three in the world — surrounded by artifacts that highlight one of humanity’s greatest achievements.

HSS Project of the Year Awards
The Steel Tube Institute (STI) is pleased to announce the inaugural HSS Project of the Year Awards, recognizing outstanding projects and the teams behind them. Open to projects across the United States, Canada, and Mexico that use North American-produced HSS, the awards celebrate notable achievements in design and construction involving hollow structural sections.
Winners will be recognized at the 2026 HSS Summit in Huntsville, Alabama, where a representative of the project team will receive complimentary Summit registration, share the project as part of a featured project showcase, and gain industry-wide recognition through STI communications and outreach.

SUMMIT REGISTRATION REFUND POLICY
STI will offer full refunds (less a $25 processing fee) for cancellations made up until Tuesday, September 22, 2026. After September 22, no refunds will be issued. STI will, however, gladly transfer your registration to someone else.
