STI Limit State Tables Per AISC 360-22
STI’s free Limit State Tables have been updated to the AISC 360-22 Specification and 16th Edition Manual. These tables serve as a comprehensive guide to the HSS limit state checks required for a wide range of HSS connection conditions and loading scenarios, including shear, axial, moment and truss connections. This invaluable resource also serves as an excellent companion to STI’s Spreadsheet Design Tools. Click below to download the tables.
Review of AISC Design Guide No. 24 – 2nd Edition
In this article, Dr. Jeffrey Packer reviews the comprehensive updates and additions in the second edition of Design Guide No. 24 – Hollow Structural Section Connections. The 2nd edition offers expanded guidance, includes more connection types, presents additional design examples, and aligns with the latest AISC specifications, filling gaps in HSS connection design guidance and improving design practices.
HSS Spreadsheet Design Aids
STI’s HSS connection design aids for truss, shear and moment connections calculate the available connection strength per the AISC 360-22 Specification, including pertinent limit state calculations and corresponding limits of applicability checks. These spreadsheets are available with the HSS Professional Membership.
