Session
On the Cutting Edge: Laser Technology in HSS Fabrication
Description:
Steel fabrication has evolved tremendously over the years. As the requirements for precision, quality, and short lead time become more demanding, many job shops, service centers, and OEMS alike find themselves looking for answers on how to move forward into the modern age with their HSS processing. More than ever, manufacturers are turning to tube laser processing for these answers. In this session we will identify best use cases for a tube laser in HSS, discuss how to size a tube laser for your production needs, and uncover how a tube laser can have extended benefit into other aspects of your manufacturing process.
Learning Objectives:
- Identify inefficiencies in current process
- Evaluate throughput requirements
- Determine how to justify tube laser processing capacity
- Assess other areas a tube laser can provide benefit
