Title: Navigating AISC 360-16 HSS Connection Design: Design Examples

As a follow-up to November’s webinar, several design examples will be presented, illustrating differences between AISC 360-10 and AISC 360-16 in HSS connection design. A shear connection, truss connection and moment connection will be presented, and handouts will be available for future reference.

Learning objectives include:

  • Single plate shear connection to rectangular HSS design in both AISC 360-10 and 360-16.
  • Cap plate connection discussion.
  • Flange plate moment connection design in both AISC 360-10 and 360-16.
  • Rectangular truss cross-connection design in both AISC 360-10 and 360-16.

Professional Development Hours
Each registrant will earn 1.0 PDH and receive a certificate of completion from the Steel Tube Institute (STI). You will need to complete the poll at the end of the webinar to request your certificate. One certificate per registration can be awarded.

Group registrations or more than one PDH certificate per registration is not currently permitted. STI is currently working with State Boards of Engineers to grant PDHs for group registrations.

If you are licensed in Florida, Maryland, North Carolina, and/or New York, you are required to complete a quiz and submit your license number(s) for your PDH. The link will be emailed to you at the conclusion of the webinar and must be completed within 24 hours of the webinar.
